A family-centered approach to treatment
Family Psychoeducation Training & Certification is included in the PIER Model because of its evidence-based, proven success in treating serious illness and the earliest stages of psychosis. Family Psychoeducation Training & Certification can be implemented as a stand-alone training module, or in conjunction with the PIER Model Training & Certification.
Topics and schedule
As with the PIER Model Training & Certification, Family Psychoeducation involves a variety of teaching techniques, role playing, and close supervision over 1-2 years. The three-day family psychoeducation training covers a wide range of topics, including:
