DIANE NORELL, MSW, OTR/L, CPRP has had a long career as an Occupational Therapist with an MSW and a continuing interest in multifamily psychoeducation groups (MFG). She is a senior Lecturer and the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator at the Eastern Washington State University in Spokane, WA. She has been a faculty member of the Washington Institute for Mental Health Research and Training and has a great understanding of the burdens of families in care giving roles. She has worked with multi-family group interventions with traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries for the VA and with cognitive impairment for the National Alzeheimer’s Association. She has published widely in peer review journals focusing on evidence-based practices and MFGs.
Diane has worked and trained clinicians in multifamily group processes since 2004. She served on the National Board of the National Alliance of the Mentally Ill (NAMI).
