John Evans, LMFT is a clinical supervisor at Weber Human Services in Ogden, Utah.  In 2012, he was first trained in PEMFG and oversaw the implementation of the first Psychoeducation and Multifamily Group program in the Mountain States Region.   In 2014, John joined PIER as a faculty member and has enjoyed training others about MFG across the nation.   In addition to his background in PEMFG,  John has extensive background in crisis intervention,  civil commitment law,  older adult mental health,  and mentoring clinicians.  John believes in evidence based treatment and tries to apply a systemic view and PEMFG lens to all his clinical work.

His clinical interests include Psychoeducation and Multifamily Group Therapy,  Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focus Therapy, Family Therapy, Couples Therapy, Crisis intervention, and  Older Adult Mental Health.   He enjoys creating and implementing new programs,  creating and managing collaborative systems to support these programs, learning of implementation science, and coaching supervisors, therapists and other staff to grow and to improve client outcomes.

John has a M.A. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University , and is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Utah.
